Casa Caracola is a space conceived by the forces of nature. The conch is a representation of the golden spiral that magnifies plants, galaxies, seashells, fruits and wind.
La Caracola evokes the relationship with nature through the orishas’, these are deities representing the sea – yemaya, the bottom of the ocean – olokum, the river and fresh water – oshum, thunder – xango, wind – oya, the meeting of paths – elegga.

Casa Caracola
Casa Caracola is a magical place and an architectural jewel, situated on a hill in between a rural landscape, that combines the carribean sea and the dry tropical forest. The house was built 2 years ago, when the host lady Angela had the dream of moving out of a big city to be close to a natural environment every day.
The beach is less than 10 mins away and easy to reach by foot. The hostel offers a big roof terrace built in a marvellous natural architecture, to hang out, enjoy the ocean view on one, and the hillside on the other side, to attend spectacular sunsets, as well as sunrises or stargaze at nighttime. Experience a delightful time in the caribbean and give yourself the chance of refreshment and a batch of positive energy.
Casa Caracola is perfectly situated, just under an hour away from Cartagena and Barranquilla, which are therefore both very easy to reach for a day trip.

Nearby towns and cities
The Colombian Caribbean Region is made up of the departments of Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar, Córdoba, La Guajira, Magdalena, San Andrés Archipelago, Providencia and Santa Catalina, and finally Sucre. Palmarito beach is in Tubará in the department of Atlantico. Close to Cartagena and with excellent roads for your adventures on the Colombian coast.

We have thousands of farm activities in our house. There is always something fun to do, sowing or harvesting, enjoying the activities of the land; the area is characterized by being a very fertile region and with thousands of things to learn from farm activities.
Watersports
On Palmarito beach you will find all the activities of a quiet and peaceful beach with excellent conditions to practice all water sports. Choose the one of your choice, learn a new one, spend sunny days with lots of sporting activity for the whole family. Ask the host of our house the options.
Trekking
Around our house you will find perfectly marked roads, with walks of more than two hours in a lush region with wonderful views, with an untamed fauna and flora, with a perfect climate for unforgettable walks. Get your tennis shoes, your backpack, protect yourself from the sun and carry your water supply and “get lost” with our guide on ancient roads.
Yoga and Meditation Retreats
